Face-off

Yesterday in our backyard:

Llewelyn:  This is my yard.

Cat:  That's what you think.

Llewelyn:  It's my yard. But you could come down and play with me...

Cat:  We could play my favorite game, it's called "I sharpen my claws on a dog's face".

Llewelyn has no sense of modesty

Llewelyn and snow

In early 2008 Llewelyn had his first contact with snow:

He wasn't very confident or enthusiastic about this strange cold white stuff, which was difficult to run and play in...

... and often did an about-face to get back onto the path.

Flash forward to 2009/2010, and it's a whole different story:

Llewelyn: snow dog!

Now, he can't get enough of it...

On vacation in the Jura mountains, where Llewelyn really fell in love with snow.

A recent walk by the Versoix river.

Now I just love this stuff!

Although it does have an annoying tendency to cling to and form snow balls on one's legs and paws:

which have to be tended to from time to time.

He would probably stay outdoors all day, if we let him...

but a warm and cozy fire at home seems to be an acceptable alternative.
